Tammy Durnan rejoined Midwest Heritage in 2009 as our Executive Vice President, Chief Retail Officer. Prior to returning in 2009, Tammy worked as a branch manager for Midwest Heritage from 1999-2003. In her current role, Tammy is the head of our Human Resources, Marketing, Loan Operations and Private Banking departments, while also overseeing our retail branches. 

In 2021, Tammy was appointed to the Iowa State Banking Council, where she serves the Superintendent of Banking in an advisory role regarding Iowa’s economy, condition of financial services, banking policies, budget and more. She was also recognized in 2020 with the Hy-Vee Subsidiary Officer of the Year Award. Her favorite part of Midwest Heritage is the strong company culture and ability to provide the products and services of a large bank while maintaining the personal service of a community bank. 

Tammy graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with non-profit organizations, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, traveling and spending time with her family.
